COLLEGE FOOTBALL BETTING INCLUDES CONFERENCE FUTURES

SEC

Alabama                     10/11

Florida                         13/5

Auburn                           6/1

Georgia                        13/2

Arkansas                        8/1

LSU                                8/1

South Carolina               17/2

Tennessee                     17/2

Kentucky                        35/1

Mississippi                     40/1

Mississippi State             60/1

Vanderbilt                    100/1

The Skinny: With the return of Heisman Trophy winning RB Mark Ingram, Alabama may be the best team in the nation, not just the SEC. But that doesn't guarantee the Crimson Tide anything, especially with tough road trips to South Carolina, Tennessee and LSU. That said, 'Bama will be favored in every game it plays. Florida faces Alabama on the road but even if the Gators lose, they might get a second chance in the SEC title game. Auburn has a strong offensive line and could be 11-0 heading to Alabama, Nov. 26. Georgia, Arkansas and LSU all have the talent to be contenders.

BIG TEN

Ohio State                     2/5

Iowa                             7/2

Wisconsin                      4/1

Penn State                     5/1

Michigan State               12/1

Michigan                        10/1

Illinois                           20/1

Purdue                          20/1

Northwestern                 20/1

Minnesota                      30/1

Indiana                          30/1

The Skinny: Terrelle Pryor gives Ohio State a dramatic playmaker at quarterback and the role of overwhelming favorite to cruise to the league title. But the Buckeyes have to travel to both Iowa and Wisconsin and, although OSU will be favored, neither game will be a pushover. Iowa returns 14 starters from last year's 11-2 team and gets Wisconsin, which has 16 returning starters from a 10-3 team, at home. Penn State also should be solid but must play both Ohio State and Iowa on the road.

ATLANTIC COAST CONFERENCE

Miami                            9/4

Florida State                  13/5

Virginia Tech                 4/1

North Carolina                9/2

Clemson                        6/1

Boston College               9/1

Georgia Tech                 9/1

North Carolina State       16/1

Virginia                         22/1

Wake Forest                  28/1

Duke                             60/1

Maryland                       60/1

The Skinny: Already on the upswing, Miami appears poised for a top 10 finish and ACC championship this year. The defense is strong and QB Jacocy Harris makes things happen. Florida State benefits from being in the weaker Atlantic Division, a good home schedule and a better defense under new Head Coach Jimbo Fisher. Virginia Tech loses the most lettermen in the ACC and has to play at Miami but the Gobblers have put together six straight 10+ win seasons so they're in the mix. Better known for hoops, North Carolina should be a football force this year. The Tar Heels return 19 starters and have the league's stingiest defense.

BIG 12 CONFERENCE

Oklahoma                      9/4

Texas                            7/3

Nebraska                       12/5

Missouri                         7/1

Kansas State                  9/1

Texas A&M                    9/1

Colorado                       12/1

Texas Tech                    12/1

Kansas                          16/1

Oklahoma State             20/1

Baylor                           22/1

Iowa State                     33/1

The Skinny: As the odds indicate, there's not very much to separate Oklahoma, Texas and Nebraska in the race for the Big 12 title. The Sooners and Longhorns face off in the Red River Shootout in Dallas, Oct. 2 so one of them will be behind in the Big 12 South race after that. The Cornhuskers, who reside in the weaker Big 12 North, should have an easier journey getting to the championship game but likely will be an underdog against either Oklahoma or Texas.

BIG EAST CONFERENCE

Pittsburgh                      12/5

West Virginia                 5/2

Cincinnati                      3/1

South Florida                 9/2

Connecticut                    5/1

Rutgers                         11/2

Syracuse                       10/1

Louisville                       12/1

The Skinny: The Big East Conference may not have a single team in the top 20 this year but that won't matter if your college football betting includes a wager on the league winner. Pittsburgh should be solid on both offense and defense and gets West Virginia, which returns 16 starters, at home. Cincinnati has claimed back-to-back Big East titles but new coach Butch Jones has only 12 returning regulars. South Florida and Connecticut can't be eliminated from title consideration.

PAC-10 CONFERENCE

Oregon                          3/1

Arizona                         7/2

Oregon State                 4/1

California                       6/1

Washington                   6/1

Stanford                        8/1

UCLA                             8/1

Arizona State                 12/1

Washington State           25/1

The Skinny: With USC ineligible due to sanctions, about the only sure thing is that Washington State won't win the Pac-10 title this year. But a case can be made for almost any other team in the conference, including Oregon, which has talent but turmoil, and Washington, which boasts the conference's best quarterback.

With the conferences in the college football betting mix, the player has more wagering options.
